What's New for 2020?

With production of the next model year LEAF just getting underway, we're not sure if there will be any minor or subtle changes in styling, trim level organization or with the EV's battery and electric motor setups. For the last version, the LEAF Plus became available, with a battery pack that delivered a longer driving range and added more power to its electric output.

Performance and Capabilities

The two setups, the LEAF and LEAF Plus, dictate your performance layers and driving ranges for this smartly designed EV. The LEAF uses a 40-kWh battery worth 147 horsepower and providing a driving range of 150 miles before you need a charge. For the LEAF Plus, you get a 60-kWh battery pack, improving your driving range to 226 miles, while delivering a punchy 214-horsepower performance. See our EV experts near Lake Norman today and find out about public charging stations in the Charlotte area and how to set up your own special setup that delivers faster charging periods than the traditional household outlets.

Safety and Technology

Though the LEAF stands out as the lone EV in our new model lineup, it's still a Nissan, which means you'll find plenty of standard and optional equipment. For safety forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking are standard, while you can add the ProPilot Assist suite that provides semiautonomous driving in certain situations. Other features for infotainment are either standard or added to the higher trims of the LEAF or LEAF Plus that you find here in the Lake Norman area. Ready for your first EV? Come on over to Modern Nissan of Lake Norman today and we'll be happy to help you out and show off when the 2020 LEAF will arrive.
