What's New in the 2018 Nissan LEAF?

There are some significant upgrades and additions in the new 2018 LEAF, making it even better than before for Lake Norman and Statesville area drivers. The 147-horsepower output makes the LEAF quicker and peppier than before, while the new driving range maxes out to 150 miles with a full charge.

There are some nice upgrades in terms of tech features as well, but the most important is the addition of the Nissan ProPILOT Assist function, which gives you nearly autonomous driving in certain situations. This system keeps you in your lane, maintains a safe distance behind the vehicles in front of you, and will activate the brakes if you're not responding to slowing traffic.

2018 Nissan LEAF Power, Charging and Driving Range

The updated e-powertrain in the LEAF gives you more horsepower and torque than previous versions, all while the new lithium-ion battery pack gives you more versatility with that upgraded driving range. The specially made batteries for LEAF models can now integrate with specialized home power systems that use solar energy, which in the long run could be a sensible setup for your home and EV.

2018 Nissan LEAF Technology and Safety

Along with the ProPILOT assist feature that's available, the new LEAF can be outfitted with some high-end safety features. You can add intelligent lane intervention, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert and intelligent around view monitor. Other tech features in the LEAF include Bluetooth, hands-free phone system, split fold-down rear seats and more. Moving up to the higher trims will see those safety options added, as well as upgraded headlights, interior upholstery and infotainment and audio equipment.
